  “Fuck, Adrian. Please. Please!”

Nell grabbed his head and pulled him to her, but he held back, building her back up to the edge with kisses and licks, his tongue never entering her. Just when she thought she might explode, he grabbed her ass, pulled her close and putting his mouth over her clit, sucked her deep, then bit. She screamed as the force of the orgasm slammed into her, and he speared is tongue inside, fucking her with his mouth until her convulsions subsided.

Spent she lay on the bed, legs spread wide, trying to catch her breath that came in great gasps. Adrian, she noted, was trembling, his cock huge and glistening with precum. He reached over to the nightstand where he’d left his wallet and pulled out a condom. Sheathing himself, he positioned himself over her and teased her entrance with the tip of his penis until she recovered enough to grab his ass and pull him inside, shuddering at the fantastic feel of him sliding into her.

Adrian kept the pace slow, and Nell luxuriated in the feel of him deep inside her. She pushed him onto his back again, then straddled him, took him inside her again, her eyes on his. She grabbed his hands and put them on her breasts, moaning, and increased the pace as she felt herself getting slicker and hotter. Adrian pistoned himself up as she ground herself against him, her nipples hard peaks against his hands. He let go of her breasts and rubbed her clit while thrusting up as deep as he could.

“Fuck me, Nell,” he whispered, his eyes intent on hers.

Nell slid her own hands over her breasts, leaned back and began to ride him hard, their flesh slapping together, Adrian meeting her thrust for thrust. She deliberately contracted her muscles around him, and the sound of his moan spurred her on, her pace frenzied. The orgasm hit her suddenly and she cried out, head thrown back, just as he let out a shout and came, thrusting up into her over and over as her contractions milked him even deeper.

Panting, Nell collapsed on top of him, unable to move. Adrian’s chest rose and fell rapidly underneath her, and they lay in silence for several minutes. Finally, Adrian reached up his arm and began to slide his hand up and down her back in long, lazy strokes. Nell arched under his caress and felt like purring, and she heard the rumble of his chuckle under her ear.

  “You destroyed me, Nell.”

“Hmm.” She grinned and rolled off him. “I’m glad we had lunch.”

“Ha.” He slid off the bed and strode into the bathroom, and Nell admired his tight ass. “Is that what the kids are calling it nowadays?”

When he got back in bed and turned on his side, facing her, Nell traced the series of four tattoos circling his bicep, all triangles—two right side up, one of them with a line through the top; and two upside down, one with a line going through the point.

“What do these stand for?” she asked.

He rested a hand on the curve of her hip, his thumb caressing her skin. “They’re the alchemy symbols for earth, water, air and fire. Alchemists tried to do something magical—transform materials—but often using scientific methods. There’s some precision and science to metalwork, but also magic, too.”

“Interesting. Amy wouldn’t show me the picture of the sculpture you’re making for the farmers’ market.” Nell frowned.

“Good.” Adrian laughed at her. “Not even your seductive wiles can tempt me to reveal this highly guarded secret.”

Nell quirked her eyebrow at him. “Want to bet?”

He seemed to consider. “Probably a losing bet for me.”

She laughed. “I did Google you. I like your work.” That was an understatement, since she’d found herself staring for a long time at the pieces she’d found. But she didn’t have words to describe how the cascading metal waves made her feel like she was standing on the beach, how she could almost feel the spray of the ocean on her face. Or how the harsh, rugged mountain peaks of steel made her want to try her hand at scaling their heights.

“Aha. So you were thinking of me the past few weeks.”

She ignored the glint in his eyes and sat up, stretched. “Not really,” she lied. “I looked you up after Amy brought up your donation.”

Relaxed down to her bones, Nell rolled off the bed and started getting dressed. It was too bad, really, that Adrian lived on the Island. The man rang all her bells in a way no man had in quite some time. Even now, sated from four mind-blowing orgasms, the sight of him stretched out on the bed, hands clasped behind his head, biceps bulging, made her want to toss her clothes aside, straddle him and start fucking him all over again.

“We should head back,” she said instead.

He sat up and got out of bed, and Nell eyed him as he bent over to pick up his briefs from the floor. God, what a view. She busied herself checking her phone for non-existent messages when he straightened up.

“So.” He met her eyes as he buttoned his shirt. “Are we going to your place or mine when we get back?”

“Neither. This is a one-time thing, remember?”

Adrian stopped midway up his shirt, stared at her, then threw his head back and shouted with laughter. Nell gaped at him. She’d expected annoyance, seduction and/or cajoling, but not for him to laugh as if he was at comedy night at the club. Shaking his head, still chuckling, he finished buttoning up his shirt.

“What’s so funny?” she asked, icy now.

He finished getting dressed and breezed past her to the door, swatting her on the ass as he walked by. “You. Honey, if you think we’re not doing that—” he gestured back to the bed, “again, you are deluded. But, I’ll humor you. For now.”

Men and their penises and their egos, Nell fumed.

“You arrogant asshole,” she began, striding towards him with fire in her eyes.

But she stopped short when, quick as lightning, he closed the distance between them and crushed his lips against hers in a searing kiss, his tongue claiming her mouth, demanding a response. God help her, even as she cursed herself for being weak, she fisted her hands in his shirt and met him stroke for stroke.

“Still not over,” he commented when he drew away.

Sometimes, Nell decided as she swept past him and out of the room with her head held high, the best response was silence.

She ignored his laughter that followed her all the way down the hallway.

The late afternoon sunlight streamed down onto the ocean below, and the details of Lopez Island came into sharper focus as Nell guided the plane down to the runway. Even though she’d made the flight hundreds of times, her heart still lifted at the sight of the trees, the houses dotted here and there—and the runway that she called her own.

“God, it’s good to be home,” Adrian said, his eyes glued to the window.

She forgot she was irritated with him and smiled at the way he echoed her thoughts. “Welcome back.”

He helped her unload her cargo into the hanger. Since she usually didn’t have the time to deliver, her customers had to come by the airport to pick up their packages. She sighed a bit over that as they shoved the last box into the corner. Hiring another employee meant more money—but potentially more business—and she kept avoiding making that leap.

“Thanks for letting me keep my car here,” Adrian said as he walked with her to the tiny parking area.

“Not a problem.” Nell turned to him after she got to her car, wondering just how to leave it. Dammit, this was why she didn’t get involved with Islanders. It was so much easier to roll out of bed with a “that was fun,” and go on her way.

Adrian, however, didn’t seem uncomfortable. He snatched the keys from her hand, opened her car door. Nell rolled her eyes, but got in.

He leaned against the door frame, dropped the keys into her hand. “I’ll follow you home.”

Nell drew her brows together. “Why?”

“I always walk a lady home after a date,” he said with a devilish grin that creased the corners of his eyes in a very appealing way.

“This. Was. Not. A. Date,” she said between clenched teeth.

  “See you there.”r />
Nell fumed when he closed her door and jogged around to his car. Fine, then. She started the car, and with a cursory glance behind her, slammed it in gear, backed out, tires squealing, and gunned it. She flew down the country road, congratulating herself. When she turned left to head home, she saw a cloud of dust behind her. No way would he catch up.

To her dismay, a few blocks later, she heard his tires scream as he took the corner and barreled after her. Nell pressed on the accelerator and watched the speedometer hover on 60 in a 30 mile an hour zone. Still, he kept up, and she gritted her teeth. She made it home in record time, finally slowing to a more sedate pace as she got closer to Ryan and Zane’s.

When he pulled in behind her, she waved him on, but he parked, got out with a smile.

“That was fun.” He patted the hood of the truck. “This baby has more get up and go than I thought.”

Nell didn’t know whether to pull her hair out or give in to the chuckle brewing in her throat.

“Cute place,” he said, surveying the little guest house.

“I like it.” Nell didn’t elaborate, and when they got to the door, she turned to him. “Okay. You’ve done your weird gentlemanly duty. Bye.”

Adrian laughed, reached out to run a finger down her cheek. “You kill me, Nell. I had a great time.”

“It was great. So many orgasms. You’re the best lover ever. Blah, blah, blah. See ya.”

Nell unlocked the door, a smile tugging at her lips when, instead of puffing up with indignation, Adrian just continued to laugh.

“Blah, blah, blah right back at you.”

This time, she did give in to the smile, and turned back to him, only to realize, uh oh. One hand rested on the door frame and he was leaning in, just a breath away.

“Traditionally, this is where I’d give a good night kiss.”

Their eyes met and held for one breathless moment before he brushed his lips against hers, slow and light. Nell could hear her brain telling her to pull away but it was hard to hear over her body’s cry of “oh, hell, girl, let the sexy tall drink of water kiss you.” Adrian kept up with light brushes against her lips, leaning closer and closer until he had her pressed against the door frame with his body, his tongue teasing her mouth open. Nell’s breath quickened, and her brain fogged as he swirled his tongue around hers in a slow dance. She groaned, lost while he deepened the kiss by degrees until everything faded away except the sharp woodsy scent that was Adrian, the scrape of his unshaven face against hers, his lips insistent on claiming her.

When he pulled back, she had to blink a few times to clear her mind. As soon as the first tendril of rational thought floated back into her brain, she stepped back, muttered, “Good night,” even though it wasn’t even close to dark outside, and slammed the door in his face. Even for her, it was pretty rude, but damn if the man didn’t let out his sexy rumble of a chuckle, and Nell stood with her back pressed against the door, chest heaving. God knows if he’d kept kissing her like that, she’d have pulled him inside with her, and ripped off his shirt, then his pants. The thought of Adrian, naked, in her house, had a flood of desire dampening her panties, and she swallowed hard, trying to clear her mind at the thought of him here, all night, making her come over and over….Maybe from behind, slamming into her hard while he teased her nipples…

Nell realized, in a flash of clarity, that she’d be fantasizing about him all night. Maybe she just needed to fuck him out of her system. Surely they’d flame out after a night of hot sex. And then, it’d be over. For good.

She yanked the door open, intending to drive after him, only to realize he still stood there, leaning against the frame.

“Change your mind?” he drawled, with a sexy lift of one eyebrow.

Nell grabbed his shirt, pulled him inside, and shoved him against the door, her hands already unbuttoning his jeans.

“Fine. We’re not over. But we will be after you fuck me all night long. Got it?”

“Got it,” he agreed, helping her shimmy out of her pants, his breath hissing out when she tugged his jeans and briefs down and closed her fingers around his erection. Nell slid her hand up and down his shaft, relentless, as Adrian made quick work of whipping off her shirt and his. She leaned in, bit his earlobe.

“Fuck me hard,” she breathed, keeping up the rhythm on his cock, which jerked in her hand in response.

He guided her to the couch and, as if he knew what she’d been fantasizing about, turned her to face the back, cupped his hands around her breasts, rolling the nipples between his fingers. He teased her for several long delicious moments, one hand alternating between her nipples and sliding the other down to massage her center. Nell braced her hands against the couch for balance. With a groan, Adrian pulled away and she heard him rip open the condom package. He entered her, grabbing her hips and going so deep that she gasped, her muscles contracting around him. He pulled out, inch by inch, then entered her again, and she nearly screamed in protest as her body trembled.

“You wanted to be fucked?” he asked

  “God, yes,” she moaned.

He slid out, paused tantalizingly at her entrance. Nell closed her eyes, angled her hips back up so he could enter her even deeper, the tension coiling deep in her body as he drove into her hard and fast again and again. He grabbed her hips, fingers digging in as he pounded in and out. The orgasm exploded through her without warning, and she shouted out, bucking back against him frantically. He pistoned even faster, calling out her name as his own release overtook him.

Aftershocks quivered through Nell’s body as Adrian pulled out. She watched, lying limp over the arm of the couch, as he disposed of the condom in the kitchen. She stood up and stretched, moved to grab her clothes, but he intercepted her, backed her into the couch and pushed her onto the cushions.

“What…” she trailed off, her mouth drying up at his hungry, feral look.

“You said you wanted to be fucked all night.” He pushed her legs apart and got in between them. “I’m not done.”

When he lowered his head and nibbled on her still-sensitive clit, Nell shuddered, let her head fall back, and thanked god there were several hours left to the night.

  ***

Nell woke alone, the smell of cooking bacon drifting up to her bedroom loft. She heard pots and pans banging, and Adrian’s voice as he sang along to the radio. It was amazing that such a sexy guy could have such a terrible singing voice, she thought with a grin. Nell stretched muscles sore from their night-long sexathon and blinked eyes still gritty with fatigue. Thankfully she’d blocked the day off for paperwork, so she could shoo Adrian out the door and go back to bed.

But, maybe not until after breakfast, which smelled pretty damn good.

Yawning, Nell threw on an oversize shirt and yoga pants and went downstairs. She stopped short at the sight of Adrian, wearing only his briefs, standing in front of the stove flipping some potatoes. His back rippled with muscles across his broad shoulders, and his briefs hugged his tight ass. Faint spring sunshine coming in from the windows cast him in a glow, and she was struck with the urge to cross the room and start nibbling on that perfect, dusky skin.

She’d already had her lips on every inch of his body the night before and could attest he tasted fantastic. Her mouth watered as she watched him move with easy grace, and she was tempted to yank his briefs off, hop on the counter, and take him inside her. Again. Nell had lost count of the number of times she’d come, but Adrian was definitely breaking records. She couldn’t believe that even after all that, she wanted him still. Wanted him inside her with a sharp ache, her nipples hard and her underwear damp at the sight of his hard, male body.

Adrian turned and smiled at her. “Good morning. Hope you don’t mind.” He gestured to the bacon drying on paper towels, the potatoes in the pan, and the eggs waiting to be cooked.

Nell tried to ignore the fact that her fingers itched to slide over his ass and squeeze. Maybe she’d become a sex addict? And then on the other hand, her shou
lders tensed up at the sight of him making himself at home. A guy hadn’t spend the night at her place since college days, let alone cooked her breakfast. Her body certainly didn’t care and was screaming, “Get the man naked,” while her brain whimpered, “Get him out.” What was she doing fucking Paul’s best friend? Had she lost her mind?

Clearly, she had, since she wanted to do it again. She was so fucked.

“If you made coffee, all is forgiven,” she said belatedly, realizing she’d just been staring at him as the silence stretched on. She sent up a fervent prayer that her inner freakout wasn’t visible on her face.

“You’re totally freaking out right now, aren’t you?” he asked, closing the distance between them and resting his hands lightly on her hips.

“Nope.” Nell eased away and busied herself pouring a cup of coffee. He’d made it perfectly—strong enough to jolt her brain cells to attention but not strong enough to punch her in the face.

“Yep.” He came up behind her, wrapped his arms around her waist, nuzzled her neck. She shivered, and he shifted so she could feel his erection. Adrian turned her around, took her coffee and set it on the counter. “There’s nothing to freak out about.”

“Right.” Nell plastered on a smile. “Last night was fantastic. And, now we’ll just move on with our lives.”

He tilted his head, studied her, his black hair loose and framing his face. Nell wondered what the treatment for sex addiction was. Probably to stop having so much sex. She sighed.

Adrian reached out and ran a hand across her hair, down her cheek. “You have a lot of really annoying rules.”

  “I do not.”

“Well.” He grinned, his dark eyes crinkling in an entirely too appealing way. “I guess there’s just the one, about not having sex with men who make you scream in ecstasy and live only a few minutes away.”

“Too bad that one’s non-negotiable.” She made a show of looking at the stove. “I’m starving.”

“So bossy. Make me breakfast.” He leaned in close, his breath brushing over her lips. “Fuck me hard. You’re full of demands. I like it.”
